Dikur in English means buffalo horn. In the middle of the buffalo pattern, there is ashape of a shield called Rabi. In the past East Nusa Tenggara tradition, a rabi was used as a shield in matches or battles. Ikat fabric with this motif was exclusively made for kings and worn by them when attending celebrations or meetings to reflect a high social status symbol.
